The Warming Center, HRDC's seasonal homeless shelter, served over 170 individuals and families last winter. In Gallatin County, where affordable housing is scarce, the Warming Center serves those in need of basic shelter. The Warming Center is a low barrier shelter model designed to serve anyone in need of a warm place to stay during the winter months. The HRDC offers many programs beyond the Warming Center, and offers other services to help participants move out of homelessness and into self-sufficient living situations. Join Sara Savage, the Housing Department Director, for this discussion about the Warming Center, the services it offers, our community's homeless population and the challenges of serving this population in the Gallatin County.
