December 08th
Parade of Lights is an annual evening parade, featuring local businesses and groups. Main street lights are turned down and the floats are lit up.
Because December in northern Montana usually means cold and serious chill factors, both adults and children are usually heavily bundled for what is a one-mile slow drive through town, punctuated by holiday music, Christmas caroling and a few surprises. In recent years Santa rode in a well-lit VW Beetle, kids popped out of the straw in a hay wagon and a reproduction of a turn of the 20th century Montana classroom celebrating Christmas times past.
