Wilsall Ranch Rodeo - Real Ranch Entertainment
The teams have signed up, the roundup has begun and the rodeo scheduled to kick off! It’s the annual Wilsall Ranch Rodeo that will entertain fans from all over the state again this year!
Held at the Wilsall Rodeo Grounds in the scenic Shields Valley, onlookers enjoy a unique display of rustic Montana as cowboys from the region exhibit their talents in the arena. Cowboys will put their best efforts to the test in real-life ranching competitions.
Events include Calf Branding, Team Doctoring, Penning, Wild Cow Milking and Herd Counting. A highly coveted title is the individual All Around Ranch Hand as determined by votes from the judges and competitors. The Ranch Horse Class will exhibit the training and skills of both horse and rider. Team awards will be presented to the first, second, and third place teams.
Admission is only $5 adults, $1 kids and refreshments will be available throughout the day. Competition kicks off at 11 AM Saturday, August 11, 2018.
Stop in the night before for the Calcutta and BBQ. We will be auctioning off the 10 teams at the Veterans Park Pavilion in Wilsall. A BBQ and Cowboy Dance with the Crazy Mountain Express will add to the festivities Saturday night. BBQ at 6 PM and dancing/calcutta at 8 PM – Aug 12.
