We’re proud to announce the 2nd Annual Red Lodge Songwriter Festival, June 22nd thru the 24th 2017.
After an overwhelmingly successful inaugural event in June of 2016 we are looking forward to an even bigger event in 2017. Our lineup of Nashville Hit Songwriters is very exciting, showcased by Even Stevensand Hugh Prestwood both recently named to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. James Dean Hicks, Tony Lane and Kostas all return by popular demand along with new comer to the RLSWF Brice Long. Along with nine of Montana and Wyoming’s best songwriters, Sean Devine, Tom Catmull, Al Cooper, Cory Johnson, Annalisa Rose, Matt Strachin, Kaylin Beasly, Chuck Oliver and Charlie Brandine, these artists will perform a total of eleven shows in seven local venues over three days, most of the shows being free to the public.
We invite aspiring songwriters to attend our workshops and be part of the songwriting contest that will soon be announced. A total of ten songwriters will be selected to perform their song in front of one or more of the Nashville Songwriters and receive analysis and feedback on how to hone their skills.
Our vision to create an annual event that brings tourists and songwriters, including hit makers, to Red Lodge each summer to share their talent and skills with the local community is well on it’s way to becoming a reality. Through this interaction of songwriters and their music we will create an inspirational culture that promotes creativity in songwriting, performing, and collaboration among the artists. Through your support as a sponsor, contributor, or fan we will continue to build this festival to become a one of a kind tourism event with recognition throughout the songwriting community.
