Six churches in the University neighborhood open their doors for the third annual event. All are invited to stroll place to place, where they will see trees, garlands, crèches and at some locations, sing Christmas carols, hear seasonal music, and share a cup of hot cider and some Christmas cookies. There is no charge for this event, which is sponsored by the Missoula chapter of the American Guild of Organists, in collaboration with the churches. The stroll begins with 15 minutes of harp and flute carols at University Congregational at 2 p.m. and ends with a carol sing at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church; other participants are the First Presbyterian Church on South Fifth, St. Paul Lutheran Church on Brooks, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on South 6th, and Christ the King Catholic Church on Gerald Ave. Participants are encouraged to start anywhere, leaving cars at the first church and walking to the others. Each location will have maps provided, as well as updated schedules noting any special music taking place.
