Winterfest features two buildings full of animals, horse sales and cowboy skijoring in the arena, several buildings packed with rows of exhibitors, and a ski and snowboard competition on a special terrain park outside.
There is a farrier contest, rabbit jumping and racing, a chili cookoff, a hockey tournament, and old-time actors telling mountain man tales as part of a living history museum.
In addition, there will be a cowboy church, dog keg pull, and a working horse and driver contest.
Concessions open at 7 a.m. for breakfast and gates are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 and under.
