Best known in the world of professional magic as “Handsome Jack,” John Lovick is a Montana native and MSU-Bozeman alum. He is now a regular performer at the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, where he has been nominated each of the last twelve years as Parlour Magician of the Year. John has performed as a magician and actor throughout the United States and Canada, as well as Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia. Additionally, he writes regularly for magic trade publications, including a recent interview with Woody Allen for Genii Magazine, and has written several books on the history, theory, and performance of magic.
His show is a fun, intimate, interactive, highly original mixture of comedy and magic, suitable for ages 16 +. Verge Theatre doors open at 7pm on Tuesday, June 9th, with live music and complimentary wine and desserts.
