Registration is now open online for the annual Timber Beast Disc Golf Tournament on June 20. You can find the online registration form at GardenCityFlyers.org. This always popular MT Points Series and Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) C tier tournament is located in Troy, Montana at the Timber Beast Disc Golf Course. The Timber Beast features dense river forest, with tees and baskets alongside Callahan Creek. Disc golfers frequently find themselves negotiating rocky creek sides and deep woodland to hit all 18 baskets. One of the most favored courses and challenges in Montana, the tournament also hosts participant camping at nearby Roosevelt Park in Troy. Back as a favorite event is the "Discs across the Kootenai" throwing contest, post-tournament on Saturday evening. Participants wing discs from River Road to Roosevelt Park over the always-wide Kootenai River. The longest throw over the river wins the pot (and serious bragging rights)! Contestants and their families are welcome to patronize select Troy area businesses offering discounts to players. Registrants will receive information in their packets to present when purchasing at any of the posted businesses honoring the discount. Onsite early registration from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, includes the Random Draw Doubles at 6:00 p.m. Same-day registration takes place onsite from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 20. Awards include Advanced Men, Advanced Masters, Advanced Grandmasters, and Intermediate Men; all Pro divisions, Advanced Women, Recreational Men, Recreational Women, and Juniors.
