The members of the Stillwater County 4-H Council wish to welcome you to our Stillwater County Fair. This year marks the 85th year of recorded 4-H work in Stillwater County. The county fair is a premier event to showcase the talents of 4-H and FFA members. The fair features a variety of events including vendors, a dance, an FFA tractor Show, Pig Wrestling and an open photography class, open to the community.
Each year 4-H and FFA members participate in interview judging at the beginning of fair week. Fair participants bring projects they have completed throughout the year and explain what they learned to an adult judge. The projects are then awarded ribbons based on the quality of the student's interview, record books and project display. Then they are displayed for the public to enjoy.
There is a Livestock Sale which is open to the public to bid on quality beef, swine and sheep. Youth raise the animals and keep health, financial and activity records. The money from the sale of the animal goes to the youth for their next project.
