View a plethora of artfully attired scarecrows during the tenth annual celebration. Festivities kick off during First Friday, 5-9 p.m. Oct. 2, which also includes a pumpkin-carving contest, horse-drawn carriage rides, and accordion music. On Saturday (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) votes are cast by the public for three “Peoples’ Choice” awards of $50-$200 and two $50 awards for “Artistic Merit.” Living statues are also part of the event. The scarecrows are on display Oct. 3-10.
