Please join the Virginia City Rural Fire Department Auxiliary in Historic Virginia City on Fri Sept 11th to raise funds for firefighting equipment.
The Save Our Buildings event kicks off at 5:00 pm with a silent auction at the Bale of Hay Saloon. Dinner will be served on the patio at 7:00 pm and the Live Auction at 7:30 pm.
This year dinner will be smoked turkey, smoked chicken, potato salad, 3-bean and green salad with yummy breads served at 7pm. The wildly popular smorgasbord of desserts will return this year to tempt everyone into a little something sweet to cool off with after dinner.
Don’t miss your chance to be an exclusive member of the “Bucket Brigade.” Sponsorship of ten of Virginia City and Nevada City’s most popular and historic buildings will be auctioned off. Winning bidders will become members of the “Bucket Brigade” with their picture and name being permanently added to the sponsor board.
Highlighted buildings include the Smith and Boyd Livery Stable better known as the Opera House and the one-of-a-kind Two-story Outhouse. A silent auction of fine art and other unique items will be held simultaneously.
