Through Jan. 3, the second exhibit in the Montana Masters series highlights the work of this pioneering modernist, who captured the essence of Montana, especially during winter. Bozeman artist and educator Willem Volkersz also contributes to the series with “Persistent Memories: Sculptural Works,” also on display through Jan. 3. Red Lodge artist Maggie Hiltner, who is artist-in-residence in the Visible Vault, incorporates embroidery she finds at antique shops in seemingly idealized landscapes through Nov. 8 in “Vantage Point: An Episodic Tale.” An open house is slated for 6-8 p.m. Nov. 6. Through Dec. 3, “Modern Masters” features paintings by Aristide Maillol, Paul Signac and Claude Monet. “Boundless Visions: Selections from the Permanent Collection” is ongoing. Educational offerings include Paint ’n Sip with artist Ben Pease, 7-9 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Visible Vault ($45-$50); “Keeping a Journal” with Charlene Magargal, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 21 ($60-$67)
