Join the Kootenai Highland Gathering at the Riverbend (13 miles up Hwy. 37) for Celtic athletic games as well as pipes and drums, entertainment, vendors and food. Games include caber toss, heavy weight over bar, Bramar stone, sheaf toss, hammer throw, and light and heavy weight for distance. Vendors open at 5:00 p.m. Friday evening with live music (no charge) and a nice legs contest. Saturday features the Celtic games beginning at 9:00 a.m., vendors and entertainment all day, grand entry and introduction of Clans at noon, and kids' games. Admission Saturday is $8, seniors and military $5, kids 10 and under free. Sunday features primitive games at 10:00 a.m. which are open to anyone free of charge.
