July 11th
The two-day celebration is held each year on the second weekend in July as a memorial to homesteaders who settled the area. The celebration honors a hardy breed of pioneer who came on foot, by covered wagon, or by immigrant train to carve out a fertile valley in a land of sagebrush and greasewood. This lively event includes world-famous BBQ dinners (and world infamous Beer Garden) along with a variety of fun and family-friendly activities including: a parade, games, live music, dancing, arts and crafts, a duck race with cash prizes and a brilliant (and free!) fireworks display.
