Gears for Beers is Montana's first Mountain Bike poker ride. It benefits the Virginia City Rural Fire Department. This is the second annual ride and is on Sunday June 7th, 2015. The event is hosted by the Bale of Hay Saloon "Oldest Watering Hole in the State of the Montana”. First rider leaves from the Bale at 9am and the last rider out on the trail by 10am. Cards to make your poker hand will be collected on an 18 mile trail on logging roads of moderate difficulty in the hills around scenic Virginia City. Entry fee is $25 and includes lunch and beer from 11am to 1pm. Awards for best poker hands and door prizes at noon.
