One of American’s most beloved radio hosts and acclaimed humorists launched “A Prairie Home Companion” in 1974. He is the host of the daily program, “The Writer’s Almanac,” is the editor of several anthologies of poetry and played himself in the movie adaptation of his show directed by Robert Altman.
