C.M. Russell Museum to Open The Russell Exhibition -- GREAT FALLS -- February 19th

February 19th

January 21, 2016, Great Falls, Mont. - The C.M. Russell Museum will open The Russell Exhibition on Friday, February 19. It features the historic and contemporary consigned Western artworks available for sale during The Russell: An Exhibition and Sale to Benefit the C.M. Russell Museum. The exhibition will be on display through March 17, 2016, and the museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Western art lovers and collectors will have a full month to view the 230 pieces of art that will be sold during The Russell events. Subjects range from traditional Western images of cowboys and Indians to landscapes, wildlife, and still-life images.

Each of the 22 members of the Russell Skull Society of Artists has at least one piece in Saturday night’s Live Auction. Recognized by the C.M. Russell Museum for their dedication to keeping alive the traditions of Charles Marion Russell, the Russell Skull Society of Artists share many of the same characteristics as Russell – including a deep love of the West and the ability to tell a story with their art.
