Bozeman Trail Commemorative Chuck Wagon Cook off celebrating the 150th

anniversary of the first wagon train arriving in Virginia City on the Bozeman Trail.

Schedule of Events.....

Friday, Aug. 21st – Chuck wagons arrive and set-up, Judging of wagon and campsite. 5:00 pm

Saturday, Aug. 22nd – Competition begins, Dinner tickets $15 per person. Visitors can visit Chuck Wagons and ask questions.

10:00am - 5:00pm Kearny's Frontier Regulars and will be doing informational programs which include period info about the infantry, weapons & artillery. Cavalry, native Americans and Forts along the Bozeman Trail. (Company K of the 7th Cavalry, Montana and Fort Phil Kearny, Wyoming)

1:00pm - Bob Bayley, Bozeman Trail expert, conducting a walk up the Bozeman Trail with commentary.

3:00pm - Gary Forney presenting the "Fantastic Life & Mysterious Death" of John Bozeman.

4:30-6:30pm Dinner music by Almeda Bradshaw - noted country singer and cowboy poetry composer from Huntley, MT.

4:45pm Food Judging starts.

Dinner is served promptly at 5:00pm

7:00pm Awards Presentations, music, dancing.

7:30pm Bill Rossiter & wife Sharon presenting a program in song about wagon trains, ranching life and cowboys.

Sunday, Aug. 23rd - 8:00am Old Fashion Church Service at the Ball Park. Father Keith Axberg officiating.

Chuck Wagon Breakfast starting at 9:00am. Tickets $5.00/plate or $15.00 per family. Served till 10:00 am or sold out.
