The Billings Police Department hosts this 5k and the object is to “beat the heat” by finishing the race before the officer. The officer will have a head-start and any runner to finish before him gets a medal and a free lunch! The race is part of “Red, White and Blue” day with police, fire and other first responders’ vehicles on site for the public to view and explore. There will be a barbecue lunch ($5 a plate).
