This years’ event will be the same course as last year’s K9 9K with a looped course from Bogert Park. The course will be on a combination of trails throughout the south area of Bozeman. Having the course be a looped course this year will allow participants to park their cars or walk to the start far easier than in past years of this event.
There will also be a 1 mile fun run/walk for the younger, older and disabled dogs. At the finish, there will be a DOG Festival with demonstrations, vendor booths, food, raffles, and more fun for dogs and their families!
Each year, BCC raises money for three canine non-profits: canine cancer research, therapy assistance dogs, and a ‘wild card’ cause. The ‘wild card’ cause is a organization that is doing outstanding service for our animals but may be a smaller or up-and-coming organization or one that needs better recognition or exposure. In our past three years of having the K9 9K, we raised close to $60,000 for great dog related causes.
