In 2014, Evel Knievel Days made history by holding the first urban downhill race in the United States in Butte, Montana. The 2nd Annual Evel Knievel Urban Downhill is ramping to be more "Evel" than any mountain bike event before.
Last year's course was a mile long with a drop of 550 vertical feet down a 7.8 percent grade and obsticles including the daredevil's original ramps, live rattlesnakes, Greyhound buses, and a jump over a 1970s Camero. Organizers are working at full-throttle to announce the 2015 course. One thing is certain, the course will incorporate the elements of the greatest daredevil of all time, Evel Knievel--who owns the Guiness World Record for most broken bones in a lifetime with 433 fractures.
Riders will fly down the course one-by-one, time-trial style. Join us July 23rd and 24th for the second annual Evel Urban DH Race! Thursday will be race day for beginners followed by the main event on Friday Night for the pro class.
