“Big, the Musical” -- GREAT FALLS -- December 3rd - 12th

“I wish... I was big!” -- The fateful line that will forever disrupt the life of 13 year old Josh Baskin, a character from a very will known story from the 80s. big, the musical, is set amongst the backdrop of New York City, and is based on the well known film starring Tom Hanks. Early on we meet Josh and his best friend Billy. While attending the carnival Josh fails at impressing his crush Cynthia Benson – being too short to ride the rollercoaster – fleeing to a closed off section of the boardwalk. Here he finds a Zoltar wishing machine, and makes the wish that will forever alter his future.

The story that ensues is one of finding one’s way in life while overcoming unseen obstacles thrown in the mix. Upon waking up as a 30 year old, Josh must find solace in both New York City, and in his newly grown ‘big kid body’ until they can reverse the wish. The people he meets during this time challenge and push Josh outside of his 13 year old comfort zone, serving as the foundation on which his desire to return to his 13 year old life rests.

Join NDM Productions this holiday season as we share our vision of the1980s with you and all of Great Falls in a brand new telling of this beloved tale. From the Zoltar machine to

the classic piano sequence, NDM Productions will not only be challenging their own technical skill sets, but also the spectacles that Great Falls has come to expect when attending live theater. As in The Wizard of Oz, the company will likely range from 30-40 artists. NDM is also excited to announce the partnering of our professional company with the YoungActors company – adding even more mentorship and guidance in the theatrical community.
